As a cancer survivor and nurse, there are many things that I take seriously. One of them is my annual check-ups. This week, I had my annual Dermatology appointment where every inch of my skin was inspected to make sure I did not have any precancerous skin growths. I am glad to say that I was all clear for another year.
Now does that mean I have no other responsibility until next year? No! One of the main responsibilities I have is to wear sunscreen when I am out in the sun. The other is to examine your skin for anything that may change in appearance.
I have included some fact sheets from my Dermatologist office:
- Sunscreen Fact Sheet
- Sunscreen Recall – also see image above
- Common Benign (not cancerous) skin growths
I hope you find this information helpful. Self-care is so important.
